Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 memory issue

I just purchased the m5a99fx pro r2.0 board and I installed 2 sticks of ddr3 1333 ram from g skill (model f3-1066cl7d-4gbeco) 4gb each. the problem is the bios only shows 2gb per stick. The sticks are seated properly. I know the ram is not on the qvl is this why its only showing half the ram? or am I missing something?

asus m5a99fx pro r2.0
Amd FX6300 black edition (not over clocked)
2 sticks of g skill ddr3 1333 memory at 4gb each
Antec true power trio 650w psu
gtx 650 video card
Windows 10 64 bit

Your set of DRAM is a 2x2GB set so 4GB total - shows in the model # ----- the 'cl7' is the CAS, then the 'd' stands for dual or 2 sticks in the pack then the '-4gb' indicates the size of the package is 4GB total for the 2 sticks. So it is showing correctly ;)
