Hi, just wanted to start by saying sorry if this is in the wrong section.
Anyway, I've just upgraded my CPU cooler from the stock Intel fan to a H80i and I wanted to inquire about the temperatures.
I'm running a i5-4670k @ 3.4GHz and the H80i is on the Performance setting.
I've been running Prime95 (v28.7) for exactly an hour now and my temps are as follows:

Core | Average Temp. | Max Temp. | Min Temp.
Core #1 | 69 -70 | 72 | 52
Core #2 | 69 | 71 | 50
Core #3 | 66 | 67 | 48
Core #4 | 62 | 64 | 47

I reset my temps after one test on Prime95, I'm running SmallFFT test.
After Googling normal temps people were saying they were getting around the 60s and lower. Someone pointed out that the Prime95 version changes temps in newer versions.

Also, is the discrepancy between my cores normal?

Thank you for any insights you might provide, and if you need any more information please just ask me.

Well, with my h80i I usually get at around 70 degrees max with my i5 6600k overclocked. However I have a very aggressive fan curve on my h80i.
If I use my own created curve, which is meant to be silent, I reach up to 75 degrees.

72 degrees max temp is within a good range, generally I prefer under 80 degrees. So perfectly fine, and the differences in temps between cores in that margin. Is perfectly fine ;)
Also to note that prime's temperatures (especially after an hour) do push higher than normal. Also ambient temps have a role in your temps as well.
Placement of the rad also can impact temps (exhaust or intake)

So if you do want under 60 degrees try changing your fan speeds manually, mine is loud under load. However for silence 72...
