Right I bought this fan for a rear exhaust,

https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans+%26+Cooling/Fans/120mm/120mm+Arctic+Cooling+F12+PWM+CO+4-Pin+PWM+Fan+?productId=56364

On the instructions for the fan it says to disconnect the CPU fan, plug this fan into where CPU was then plug the CPU fan into the other connection on the fan. On my gigabyte mobo there is a sys_fan near the back for a rear fan.

What is the best way to connect these?
Connect the fan just to sys_fan.
Or
Connect fan to CPU fan slot and connect CPU fan to the extra connection on the fan.

I hope this makes sense. Could not find anything on internet.

Solution
Connect it to the SYS_FAN.
The way they recommend it the fan would change its speeds with the temperature of the CPU. Which is pointless for an exhaust fan. You want it to get rid of heat as fast as possible, not dynamically slow down based on your processor.

Sorry I'm new to this site lol, I did not mean to down vote your answer :(. I don't even know how to reply properly haha. But thank you, do I just plug it in and just let it do its own thing or will I need to go into BIOS change some settings or download any software?
