Can you please suggest a good quality non expensive mobo for the Intel Xeon E3-1231V3? Will be mostly for gaming/streaming. Recommendation links from http://www.newegg.ca/ are appreciated. Thanks.

It depends what you care about and what your definition of non-expensive is.
What form factor board? ATX, mATX?

You could also search this forum for "Xeon E3 1231" and research it. This has been answered before.

If ATX, this is a rock solid choice:
ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150

or
ASRock Z97 Extreme4 LGA 1150

or for a little more (M2/SATA Express) balls to the wall gaming rig
ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty Z97 Killer LGA 1150

Some people dont...

Note

The traditional answer here before has been "why pay for Z97 on a non-OC chip its a waste"
However, the Z97 boards in a lot of cases have more ports and other things since the Z97 is a higher end chipset, the MB manufacturers load them up more. In addition, if you ever want to SLI/Crossfire, you need a Z97. So if a Z97 is in your budget range, get it.

Cool, yeah I would like to have those options available to me for down the road in the future. By the way all those mobo's you posted links for are all 'out of stock' on the canadian website. If you don't mind going to http://www.newegg.ca/ and picking a few options for me would be much appreciated, thanks.

I assume you want ATX, since you didnt specify.

Given what I see, this looks the nicest for the lowest amount $169
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132512
ASUS Z97-E/USB3.1 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

You get USB 3.0, 4 slots,
You get USB 3.1, meaning future, newer USB accessories can be powered from the USB slot, not needing AC adapters
You get an M2 slot/SATA Express port (shared bandwidth)

If you can spend a bit more, $194
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132510
ASUS Z97-A/USB 3.1 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

That gets you 2 more USB 3.0 ports, and with its setup (as I understand) you could use both the M2 and the SATA express at the same time, because where as the other MB has the M2 and the SATA express sharing, this one has the M2 sharing with the PCIe x1_1/2 slots.

I would want the USB 3.1 over other gaming boards in this price range that dont have it.

Both of these support the Xeon e3 (I think all 1150s do)
