Hi!

I'm currently using an AMD r9 280x XFX and now have the oppurtunity to buy another 280x (sapphire one) for 100$ which i think is pretty cheap.

I'm wondering if my corsair PSU @750W can handle these cards in Crossfire, or if I'd have to buy a new one (which would make a 100$ upgrade a 250$ one)

Also, what FPS gains would I be getting? (Difficult to answer perhaps..:))

Thanks!

Current specs:
Intel i7 2600
8GB ram
AMD r9 280X XFX
Win 7

Solution
I run 2 R9 280's on an EVGA 750B2 which is a bit higher quality than the NEX750. The most the whole system draws maxed out is about 660watts. So it should work ok, the rest of your system probably uses less wattage than mine.

It's 11 months old!

I've got 1 HDD and two SSD. But that would at max require 25W? I'm guessing threre is no way my non-oc CPU uses more than 100W? So that would leave me with 750 - ((300 x2) + 25 +100)= 25W for fans?...

I've got one aftermarket fan for the CPU and another one that came with the Dell-case. Nothing hardcore.
(btw, I'm a total n00b at all of this (as you might have noticed) , so if I made an error in my "calculations" please correct me)
