So I got an ASUS gtx 970 for christmas alog with a new power supply. After replacing my old one, It couldnt even get to BIOS and I kept hearing one long beep, then two short beeps. Been looking around for answers everywhere and nothing is working. I am 99% sure Im plugging it in correctly. I have no other computer to see if the graphics card is defective but will have to ask a friend if you guys think that might be the problem.
Specs:

Corsair CX750M
Intel i5 3470 QuadCore
12GB RAM
ASUS IPIMB-AR REV:1,02A

Any help is very appriciated, so thank you in advance.

Solution
The Asus 970 should require a 8 pin pci-e connector (6+2).

Make sure both parts of the 6+2 are secured, and make sure its plugged in correctly at the PSU end also.

The beep code is related to a video card error. Silly question, though this has happened to me a few time in a rush, did you plug in the 6-pin cord into the GPU? Also did you change any other components except the GPU and PSU?

If you think that you have connected everything properly and it is still not working, I recommend that you try it on another rig if you can, or a friends rig. If it still doesn't work its probably factory faulty and you can get it replaced.
