I'm looking towards an upgrade able to run games steadily on my pc. So I'm leaning towards either a gtx 960 50 or 70.I'm on a tight budget so I'm leaning toward 960 but I'm looking for other opinions and I game on 1080p

The order from best to worst across a fairly wide range:

R9 390
GTX 970
R9 380X
R9 380
GTX 960
GTX 950
R7 370

Go pricecheck for where ever you buy your cards, and get the highest listed one you can afford. Be sure to confirm your power supply is adequate. The 750s were able to run on some truly atrocious PSUs.
