They are all produced by different manufacturers with different requirements for their cards. With most the GPU core is overclocked to one extent or another, and a few have overclocked memory too.

There is no one "best" choice. Pick one that goes with your system, your style/preferences, and your budget.

You have reference designs(those are louder, hotter, slower) and non-reference with aftermarket coolers like G1 gaming, g1 extreme gaming from gigabyte, Asus strix, asus poseidon, evga scx, galax Hall Of fame, hybrid cards(water+air) and those are always faster, quieter and cooler and more head room for OC.
