After upgrading to Windows 10 from 7, my pc will only boot with one stick of 8G ram; With windows 7 although not all was used I had 4 banks with Ripsaws DDR3 1600 8Gx4 and it was running well. If I install more than 8G it stalls and never boots.
Update: I set my mem speed to the lowest setting, uninstalled Asus suite and added 8 G; Now my system shows 16G installed but only 7.9 usable.
So, Im using 24G the remaining stick that doesnt get read has an RMA.
My pc was running with 32G installed with windows 7, only 16G usable; I didnt think one was bad.

Thank you
The Max memory was not checked; So I checked it and will reboot just to troubleshoot.
Checking after a reboot the Max memory changed to 256 but still only 7.9 Memory was reported being used.
Memtest ran for 6 hours while I was at work. It showed a total of 15 errors. 1 at 236.m and on at 7855M average 1 error. I going to mark that stick and test the other two.
After swapping out to the next stick 16G is now showing and none unusable; I will continue testing.
