I have a dell XPS 8500. It had 8GB of RAM and the extra 8GB arrived today as I was planning on putting it in. The issue is when I tried installing it, it made a beeping noise and wouldn't boot. I managed to get RAM working in slot 1 and 3, but if I even try to add any to slots 2 and 4 it will make the beeping noise again. As of now, it makes 4 beeping noises when adding more memory to either slot 2 or 4. Any ideas? I've been looking into it and it seem's maybe the slots are broken. I updated my BIOS and it didn't help, should I reset the CMOS/BIOS?

Would guess the DRANM isn't compatible with the old DRAM or possibly not even the rig, what's the model #s of old and new DRAM
