I got a Hitachi Deskstar 1TB for my PC, and an SSD which I installed Windows 10 64 bit Home edition on. My Motherboard is a MSI H81M-E34 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard.

The problem is, I couldn't see my HDD on the "This PC" menu in file explorer, where you can see all your drives. I searched up this problem, and many people said go into Disk Management, or right click on This PC and click Manage and you should see your HDD there. However, my Hitachi HDD doesn't appear there either. I even tried refreshing or rescanning for disks.

Another thing is that my HDD appears in my BIOS.

How do I "reveal" my hard drive?

Hey there, Fillychi!

Have you tried clicking on 'Rescan Disks' in Disk Management as well? If that didn't help, I'd recommend you to re-seat the connections to the HDD and even try using a different SATA cable and SATA port on the motherboard. One of the reasons for the OS not to recognize the HDD could be a faulty connection (a cable or a port). If that doesn't work, I'd suggest you to try resetting BIOS using one of the methods listed in this tutorial: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS
Keep in mind, though, that this would get the BIOS settings back to their factory defaults, so you'd need to reconfigure them afterward.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes!
