Had a friend recently get a new computer and roll back to windows 7 from windows 10 and am experiencing another weird problem. After installing drivers via Geforce Experience, she could get to the login screen at windows 7 with some weird tear looking thing on the left, and then the screen would just be blue, and stay there. Tried unplugging it and just having the monitor go into the motherboard but it's a black screen. There is no way to access inside windows besides getting into the login screen, and trying with the motherboard ends up being just the black screen.

Not sure what to do. This is the graphics card in question: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121899&cm_re=asus_gtx_970-_-14-121-899-_-Product

I can get her to get into bios but that's it. What do I do? :(

Solution
Did you uninstall the previous drivers before the install? Have you tried starting in safe mode?

I would attempt starting in safe mode and uninstalling the geforce drivers, rebooting, then installing drivers manually.

You can plug the monitor back into the motherboard with the card out - But you need to change the BIOS setting to display using integrated graphics. This will be in the motherboard manual.
