I currently have a r7 250 2g.
if i get another r7 250 and crossfire it with current one, would this give a decent performance for game like world of tank? Or, get a new r9 280 or something?

btw, do i have to cross a 250 with the same 250? or can be crossed with any type of card?

thank you!!!

r9 280 will beat crossfire of 260. When you compare it to a crossfire of 250, the R9 280 will wipe the floor with it. Not to mention not all games run in crossfire, higher power consumption and all those problems. Also if you cross 2x250 then you can with any model, just the amount of VRAM will be equal to the amount of the GPU with lower VRAM, same goes for gpu speed.

R9 280 will benefit you more than the R9 250 CF for multiple reasons. The CF isn't supported in some games, more power consumption, you will have more VRAM (1GB more with 280) and from my experience with CFing low end cards (R9 270 CF), you'll get some screen tearing (tested on multiple versions of AMD Catalyst). Go with the R9 280

I suggest you get the R9 280/290 (you mentioned 290 in title and 280 in post so wasn't sure which one) or the refreshed R9 380/390.

Just sell your R7 250. It still sells for a decent price on Ebay.
