Hi there,

I own a ASUS H81M-Plus motherboard that EU Energy-related Products (ErP) ready
(source : Green ASUS on https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H81MPLUS/ )
The board is attached to a CX500M ATX Power Supply that is “ErP Lot 6 Compliant” (source : Features on http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/cx-series-cx500m-modular-atx-power-supply-500-watt-80-plus-bronze-certified-modular-psu-uk)

When I shutdown the PC but keep it connected to a wall socket, the USB ports continue to be powered (optical mouse, external USB drive). It’s my understanding that the ErP feature needs to be enabled in the BIOS. My Bios is a Asus UEFI Bios rev. 2205. I have been going through the advanced settings and the user manual ( http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1150/H81M-PLUS/E8448_H81M-PLUS.pdf ) but can’t seem to locate that setting. Does anyone own this board in order to point me in the right direction ?

Solution
Under the Onboard Devices Configuration bios menu you'll see the following setting:

Asmedia USB 3.0 Battery Charging Support [Disabled]
This item appears only when the
Asmedia USB 3.0 Controller (usb3_E12)
is set to
[Enabled].

[Enabled]
Enables the Asmedia USB 3.0 battery charging function.
[Disabled]
Disables this function

Set it to disabled. This should fix the issue you are having.

Good luck!
