I would update thee BIOS I always do that when I build a system to avoid any issues, it is pretty esy easy to do the motherboard should have instructions on their website.

It does sound like spyware however never had that while playing gta5.

There are lots of questions here.

1) What is this website? If your motherboard really needed a BIOS update, wouldn't Asus link you to their website?
2) Is this a pirated copy of GTA?

Nothing here indicates he would need a BIOS update. The site even says "secure" in the name which means it's probably a scam as is, and the GTA is probably pirated.

SecuROM was known for excessively draconian DRM and had massive security loopholes, to the point gamers were refusing to buy any games using their DRM (I think in the late 90's). I find it amazing that it's still used and can't imagine any reason it would need you to update your bios. If you do update your bios make sure it's not via any link from securom. I'd be interested to hear how it goes.

Same issue. Had a legit copy of GTA 4 and worked fine on my previous computer, but ive just recently upgraded and I have this message - required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed (8016).
I have z170-pd3 with i-7 running windows 7.
Tried to search for answers and can't find a solution.
