First time build problem

Hi, I've just finished my first build on my gaming of, all parts are in and wired up with the correct connections.
Turned it on and all fans are running fine, disc drive is working, motherboard light says its on, graphics card fan seems to be running etc, the problem I've having is there is no signal to the monitor, I've tried different connections etc but no luck, any ideas what it could be

Are you plugging your video cable into the graphics card and not the motherboard?

pug into the motherboard first then load the gpu drivers after that once those are loaded then power off and plug into the gpu should fix it

I've tried the motherboard and graphics card outputs and no luck with either

If the GPU is plugged in, you always plug into the GPU. Plugging into the motherboard will never work if a GPU is installed. Even without drivers, only the GPU will work.

Yes I've heard that from a friend but tried the motherboard plugs when I didn't have a signal from the gpu

Check in your BIOS to see what the default video-out device is.

try a different monitor or different connection style on the gpu like dvi/vga/hdmi and see if any of those work.

Remove the graphics card and use the onboard graphics. Also, is your PCIe cable(s) for the video card plugged in? And what are your full specs?

Sounds like the computer aint posting, sure sounds like it. Check that your ram is firmly connected to the motherboard or try with just 1 brick.

You cant tell if a mechanical hdd is running or not just by feeling it. When you have power connected to it they tend to vibrate or spinn.
