Hi, so I got my pc a few weeks ago and bought a new headset for gaming but I have had complaints of friends saying that my mic is making a sort of static noise all the time which can be quite annoying for them. Does anybody know what the problem is or a way to fix it? Thanks :)

Could be a bad connection somewhere.

Find an cooperative friend and work with together. You wiggle and move various components and wires while your friend listens. See if you can make the static increase with movement or stop by holding some piece very still.

Start at the USB port and work along towards the earphones/mic. Try another USB port as well.

Borrow another set of earphones and/or mic to see if the problem continues.

If that process does not discovery anything then look inside your case for loose connections.
