Hello guys, I recently finished building my PC and after playing some games like BF4, H1Z1, LoL and CS:GO i noticed that CS:GO was running really badly.

Every game that i run plays perfectly except CS:GO i have around 120-150 fps. Ive tried to lower all the graphic setting and ive tried to change resolution to a smaller one and i have disabled anti aliasing but nothing helps the FPS always stays at around 120-150.

I had even better FPS with my old system that ran an intel core i5 4460s with the Memphis S motherboard (both of them are a lot worse than my current setup)
MY PC:
GPU: EVGA GTX 760 2GB Ti Superclocked GDDR5 w/ ACX Cooling
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700
Motherboard: gigabyte h170n-WIFI
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 Black 2400MHz
Hard Drive: Two Western Digital Green 1TB HDDs
DVD-Writer: HP DVD Writer
PSU: 80+ Bronze 500W Power Supply (cant figure out name atm, and i dont have time to open the case as im not home atm.)
OS: Windows 10 Home

Please help me.

Kind regards, Ocus.

That might be true, but unless you're experiencing lower framerates in other games also, I hold that you don't have an actual problem that forms a basis for serious concern. I realise that probably sounds a bit disparaging, but it just is what it is. You're factually not going to lose at CS:GO because you're "only getting 120-150 fps".

And i forgot to add, there are no problems with the temps everything is running fine, cpu is around 30-40C on idle and around 60 in-game, gpu is around 30C idle and 60-70 in-game.

So your FPS is 120-150 in CS:GO, and that's bad? Or did you make a typo? 120-150 fps in any game would normally be considered excellent!

Yes my FPS is 120-150 only in CS:GO, the other games run just fine. The FPS is bothering me because my old setup used to run CS:GO in 250-350 fps stable...

What monitor are you using? If you're using a screen that can only get 60 Hz (= 60 fps), I really don't see a real problem here. Even the very highest-end gaming screens (i.e. 144 Hz) aren't physically capable of displaying more than... 144 fps!

I've got the BenQ 24" 3D LED XL2411Z and there might not be a difference for the eye but the PC should still perform better than 120-150 fps...

120-150 fps in CS:GO is nothing to kill for... my laptop from school runs it at 50-60 fps and it has an i3 processor with Intel HD Graphics....

I've heard that CS:GO is more intensive on the CPU than other FPS games. That could be the cause. Even still, as others have mentioned...anything north of 60FPS and you're not likely to notice any difference in gameplay.

All i'm saying is that 150fps isn't really a problem. If it was, say, dipping down to 20fps... then yes, that would be an issue.

most expensive or en-expensive monitors are only 144 refresh rate so you would not be able to tell the difference between 144 fps and 350... your lucky you get 150 fps... i only get like 15 fps on cod ghosts
