A mysterious motherboard dissappearance

I've been planning a new config for some time, and already have some of the components (bought a few months ago), and now a disaster has struck.
The motherboard I was planning on buying, the Asus Z97 Pro WiFi, has recently suddenly dissappeared from practicaly everywhere, and I'm desperately trying to find where to buy it.
Changing my plans is not an option because I've already either chosen or bought the other components (DDR3 RAM is bought) and I don't want to change everything, and besides I did a LOT of research and review reading to find the perfect motherboard for my needs.
So I have two questions.
1. Can anyone give me a link to a webshop (or webshops) that has it in stock, preferably in the EU (customs charges !) and preferably at a not-insane price ? Trying to find some right now...
2. WHY THE BLOODY HELL did this dissappear all of a sudden ? At first I thought it was the Skylake/X99/DDR4 combo coming on to the scene (a very pricy primadona with no real improvement IMHO) but I was still shocked as the motherboard was only released a year and a half ago, which is too soon for withdrawal even in the hardware industry. And now I discover there's loads of other socket 1150 motherboards and CPUs still on sale !? And there doesn't seem to be an obvious replacement for this MB from Asus, except the recent USB 3.1 version which has also dissappeared. So why is this one gone and others from the generation aren't ? I am mystified... :??:

Nice try, but that's the newer version with USB 3.1 and it's out of stock there. There is a seller on Amazon.de who seems to have a single piece of the model I want but ships only to Germany (I've contacted them anyway).
