So. As usual, I have yet another issue with my ASUS Xonar DX. Computer specs 4670K MSI z87 G45 mobo, Gtx 970 windows 7. So earlier today I was on my computer, and had to go run out to do business for college. I come home, go to turn on my computer, accidentally shut it down by the button because it was sleeping. RIP. Anyways, go to turn on my computer, sound was redirected to my tv, my xonar is no longer detected and is being detected as a multimedia audio controller by the device manager. Go to check if I've been eeprom rekt, I wasn't. It just wasn't detecting my card, but the hardware ID is correct. It seems it isn't getting correct power? Yet I havent touched it in months and it suddenly stops working. Moved it to all pci ports to try to remedy the issue, no luck. The mic port is supposed to have a red light illuminating it, but nothing.

Small note: The floppy power pins are slightly torqued to one side as the cable was a little on the tight end the last time I did cable management, not sure if that would cause an issue as the computer wasnt shifted at all, the connectors appeared to be in tact.

Any ideas? Out of warranty (got it in 2013).

PS: Definitely not going with ASUS with my next soundcard if this ones a goner. Just a PSA for anyone interested in asus sound cards. Nothing but issues and awful drivers.

Can you please pass on your full systems specs? You're missing the PSU and the OS (+storage and boot drives). That being said are you sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date? If you've noticed the floppy power cable input to be a little bent have you tried in reconnecting with the connector fully seated without any signs of additional torque on the connectors?

One thing to note would be take the sound card to a friends system that has the appropriate power connector and slot to run your assumed dead sound card. If it's detected and functions on a system that is near similar(at least OS wise) to your's then the motherboard slot may be to blame. Perhaps with a fee you could get something moving with Asus via their tech support?
