I wanted to upgrade my pc. I am pretty sure the best thing to upgrade is my gpu first. im gonna list my specs below.

System Model: Z68X-UD3P-B3 - motherboard.
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.7GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM - ddr3 - i think.
Available OS Memory: 16368MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 560

And one more question if i buy a 390x. or a nvidia 970. will it bottleneck with my core ?. ive googled it and people seem to say that the i7-2600 is quite fine for these cards. but i want some more detail.

but the main question is what is the most imprtant upgrade. gpu or core. or motherboard too 1151 series ? and ddr4 mem ?. pls im lost!

Solution
i7-2600 is still a beast and will have no trouble catching up with either 390x or 970.

That motherboard is not bad.

If you wish to upgrade for gaming, then GPU will be your concern. That depends on your budget and your power supply.

Ok thats nice to hear. so if i had to pick the best.. i can get..

Asus STRIX GTX970 4Gb for 549 $

MSI AMD R9 390X Gaming 8GB for 610$

Gigabyte GTX 970 XTREME GAMING PCI-E3.0 4GB GDDR5 for 610$

What is the best ?

and should i make a new thread for this one ?

Anything from EVGA Supernova GS, GQ, G2, T2, P2, B2 Series are high quality units. Seasonic S12II and Seasonic M12II as well as XFX TS Series are also high quality good power supplies.

I would recommend the ASUS Strix GTX 970, EVGA GTX 970, or MSI Gaming GTX 970 for the GPU.
