The problem is that you need to go into your bios of the motherboard.
Make sure APCI mode in your bios is enabled, for the setting select S1/S3 mode.
Or if a new Uefi bios board or enabled laptop it will be found in the bios section relating to power settings or management.
If you have any problems with USB devices such as a mouse or keyboard.
In the bios make sure detection of legacy devices is enabled.
And if the board has USB 3.0 ports on it and you are using them to connect a mouse or keyboard, and it fails to work or respond.
You may have an option in the bios for fast charging on the usb 3.0 ports, disable this as it can effect some usb devices connected to the usb 3.0 enabled ports.
Or plug the devices into a free usb 2.0 port, or ports.
Some devices mess up because they do not fully support the usb 3.0 port spec.
Or the fast charging of the ports mess them up when resuming from sleep or hibernation mode of the computer.
The BSOD is due to APCI mode not enabled in your bios, or that the S modes need to be set. To allow hardware to power down and resume correctly when sleep, or hibernation mode is used on your system and with windows os.
This should resolve any problems with usb connected hardware Blackcat.
And also the BSOD when power is resumed from sleep or hibernation mode of your system.
