Creative Fx sound card bass problem

My new Creative Fx sound card seems to be restricting the bass with my new Kingston HyperX headset. When i have set the bass like i want it to be on the hardest bass it like sets it down by itself. The music seems to fade away with the base and then comes normal when the bass roll isnt so hard.

Is smart volume management enabled on your FX card or volume normalization enabled in your sound properties? On that note can you please pass on your full systems specs inclusive of the model number for your sound card and your OS? There are quite a few FX's when looking through Creative's inventory so it'd help to narrow it down. One more thing to note, have you installed the latest drivers for your sound card off creative's site?

We're also looking at the Hyper X Cloud(I) headset right?
