Hi

Well here goes..

Running Vista premium on Medion Akoya P36888. Had for a while on boot up 1 long and 2 short beeps. Did not know it was a warning until now. The had lots of BSOD's, so shelved pc for a while. Wanted to to finally get this sorted as I want the tv media feature again. so this is what I did in order.

Cleaned all dust out from PC and Video card
switched on, now not posting no video signal black screen no beeps at all
Checked all connection
tried differend monitors, cables and even dvi to tv
Removed cmos battery and cleared cmos jumper ( not clever as I dont have vision)
Removed graphics card booted up no post beeps.
Removed Ram GOT RAM BEEPS does this mean my motherboard is not dead?
Changed ram around on connection which no matter what way I connected lost any beeps again on POST.

So now I am left with a computer which does not boot up, no monitor signal.
Is it defo the ram causing this? Would both rams die at once? I have DDR2 1x2gb and 1x 1GB.

I have ordered a compatible Graphics card but how can I install if it does not boot and even if it did I have no monitor signal and have cleared cmos?

Hope you can help. ps I do not have onboard graphics on motherboard

Many Thanks

Hi Thanks for reply. Did change ram connection order and each on their own, lost beep code when just one was inserted regardless of which one it was. Only time getting beeps is when none of the 2 rams are connected.
