Hi Guys,

I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A-146 and was looking to getting better FPS on Games such as CS:GO as well as Smite.

I understand typically a GPU is typically the best option for gaming FPS especially as this laptop has on board however I was wondering would increasing RAM from 4GB to 16GB and putting a new SSD/CPU in be worth it?

If not any recommendations on decent laptops between £500 to £750

Kind Regards,

Lunos

It might help a little to add more RAM and allocate more of it to the iGPU if you have that option in your Bios. I wouldn't expect much though because of the weak dual core.

The ASUS below is a little out of your budget range, but has the best processor and GPU. The HP isn't bad either. Any of these will run CS:GO, but going with the 950M/960M would give you the option of playing more games and at at higher settings.
