Motherboard for i7 860

I live in Australia and I recently bought an i7 860, was wondering if someone can post links to cheap "new" boards that can run the chip that can be purchased online for a cheap price, around 70-80$ including shipping or the best value for your money.

I would also like if someone can post links for appropriate & cheap ram and after market cooler.

I don't think you're going to find a new socket 1156 motherboard, let alone one that inexpensive. I think you're going to have to go used or up your budget (and hope someone still has one in stock).

Sorry. I checked Australian PC Part Picker and did not find any available. Your best bet would be to check EBay for any "new" motherboards.

are oem/unbranded boards ok, because h55 and p55 boards are going for 100

Depends on whether or not you still have driver support for those boards. I wouldn't even know where to look other than the actual chip manufacturer.

Depends on which one you want but you wont be able to find a P55 bvoard "new". Best would be refurbished but most will be used.

That Intel board should work just fine (as long as you don't need any other expansion slots).

I have never seen an unbranded board. Even an OEM one. I wouldn't trust it mainly because there wont be support or any 100% that your CPU will work with it, even though it is a P55 chipset the board itself might not be able to handle a higher end i7.

The P7P55D is a decent board and will support your CPU.

I don't know if that is an Intel board. Even Intel boards have the Intel logo and model number on it. Most OEM boards also have a model number for internal use. This has none.

Upon further review, I'd probably pass on that motherboard as well. They appear to be stock images. The rear I/O port in the fourth image does not match the rear I/O of the motherboard.

You would have to check the CPU support first to make sure the board can run the i7 860.

I don't think the H-series boards allow for overclocking. For RAM, any 2x4GB DDR3-1333 kit should work. CPU cooler is up to you. Most newer Intel socket coolers are socket 115x universal.

The ASUS board can overclock the CPU. A P55 board is better for overclocking, but H55 does work to a limited extent. The HP one probably won't as OEM boards like that usually have locked BIOS to prevent end users from tampering with that kind of stuff.
