Solution
The only compatibility issues that I'm aware of were with PCI-E 2.1 cards and PCI-E 1.0a slots. The additional power requirements were not handled by those motherboards. Typically, this was resolved via a BIOS update, but looking at the available BIOS updates, none specifically state they resolved this issue.

I've seen one response online which states that your motherboard has PCI-E 1.0a. It's difficult to verify, however, as many results are pointing to the second edition of that motherboard: M2V-MX SE.

To my knowledge, it should not be an issue. This thread seems to support that conclusion.

@Wolfshadw ok thanks,I was woried because all of tests were with pcie express 1.1 so i thought it will not work on 1.0.What you think about this. www.overclock.net/a/the-final-answer-to-the-controversial-pcie-x16-version-compatibility ?This guy claims that only Nvidia cards are backwards compatible..

As with everything else found on the Internet: to be taken with a grain of salt. The best advice I could give you would be to try and contact the manufacturer of the graphics card and see what they say about compatibility (and also make sure you have some sort of return policy in place if you do purchase it).

Another option/recommendation is to find out if any of your friends have a PCI-E 3.0 AMD card that you could borrow.
