Any Times of Calendar Year where online prices tends to go down?

I am planning my build for scratch. I realize I missed the Black Friday window where all the sales take place. I am not in complete rush but I also can't wait till the end of this year,

I tend to go over PC part picker site for prices, and I wanted to ask to the community here if there are different times where you have realized price drops on popular high end parts like i7-5930k cpu, x99 motherboards and samsung ssds? A friend mentioned buying parts in March has perks because some websites tend to run sales then but I wasn't sure & I wanted to ask here.

I personally know I could've saved around $120 USD on my last $1400 build, had I bought them a few weeks earlier near Black Friday. I've also experienced the same effect after the release of a new GPU/CPU/Etc.
