Basically the plastic piece around the usb 3 header port on my MB broke, and I cant plug it in anymore. Can I fix this? Is there some kind of work around? I know I can use the ports in the back but its very inconveniant and would love the ones in the front working again. Btw my MB is a gigabyte z77x-d3h just in case.

Are the pins still intact? if so just plug it in USB 2.0 did not have the plastic latch and you should be fine without it. if it looks like it my fall off find a place that you can zip toe the cable to that will keep it from moving. The lack of plastic retainer should not prevent you from using the header.
