I just installed the cooler master 212 evo and I got a CPU Fan error, which I fixed by ignoring the lowest fan RPM in the BIOS and the computer was running like before.

10 Minutes later the computer freezes up (no blue screen) and I was forced to turn off the computer. Now I'm at the point where when I try to turn on the computer it will not make any noise, beep or show any display and will just run like it would normally (fans and LEDs) but without posting at all. It won't even show the BIOs page.

I see a red light by the "MemOk" button and a green light on the motherboard. After about 1 minute of trying to post, it will reset itself and try again.

I'm thinking the heatsink not on tight enough, because i am able to very slightly shift it (I noticed when putting the fan back) I have tried to tighten it more, but I don't want to break my Motherboard in the process.

If there are no easy answers I may take a break from it tonight and install my Intel heat sink back in and try it again tomorrow.

Solution
with the cpu fan issue on a lot of new mb now they have two cpu power ports one that a pmw cpu port that the mb reads to make sure the cpu fan is moving. the other port will say cpu_opt port that port is not monitor as it there for cpu water cooler pumps. the evo 212 cooler when on right will slide a bit. this keeps the cooler from crushing the cpu lid into the cpu. if your using an asus mb losen the cooler and then pull the gpu and one ram stick and clear the cmos make sure the mb will post with one ram stick if the mb wont post try another power supply to see if the one you have lost a leg. when you get the mb to post go into the bios and watch the cpu temps make sure it stable. if it is check to see if the mb bios is out of date.

Simply loosening the heatsink and the computer has booted. Will report back here if any issues arise.

Edit: Thanks Smorizio. I have ran Prime95 for the last 2 hours and the highest temp is 56c, compared to the intel stock heatsink which was 79c, it's much better. Also tested my RAM with Prime95.

No issues with the GPU, ran FurMark and scored 3852, 65 FPS avg. on 1080p preset.

Everything is running smooth.

Yes thia budget CPU cooler kicks ass;)
For me Cooler Master 212 EVO was an excellent upgrade from my stock cooler of Intel i7 4771 3.5GHz! I bought it for 35€ 2days ago, applied thermal paste which was in the package with it and started it up in 15mins and started gaming. CPU temperatures were 20 degrees lower or more on full load. Was testing with Battlefield 4 and Far Cry 4. Before i was hitting even 72 degrees even with replacing new thermal paste and performance dropped to 5-10fps when cpu overheated (maximum load temp for this cpu is 72).
With Evo 212 I don't go over 50-52! In windows 28-34.. Very satisfied. Worth every penny.
