Hello All,

I have a fx 8320 from AMD (8 core processor, 3.5 GHz (4 GHz turbo), 125w) and a GTX 970.
Should I go for water cooling or just a 212 evo?

Thanks!

Assuming the 750W PSU is a decent make/model, you should be fine for all the OC'ing you can manage. I have a Corsair H60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181030 also. It has about the same cooling performance as my push-pull 212 EVO. If you think you need more cooling for your OC'ing abilities, one of these 240mm Corsairs would be a good choice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100008008%2050001459%20600036012&IsNodeId=1&Manufactory=1459&bop=And&SrchInDesc=240mm&Page=1&PageSize=30

As long as you have the room in your case and mounting layout for it.

It will depend on your budget. $100+ will get you a good 240mm AIO cooler. ~$30 will get you the 212 EVO. I have my FX-8350 @ 4.7 GHz on a 212 EVO with push-pull fans. But the amount of OC'ing you can do will depend on the motherboard and the PSU.

Yeah, $50 is about my limit for fans, I'll go to about a hundred on water cooling. As for the power supply, i have a 750 watt and for the motherboard i have the crosshair z formula v.
