First some info:

Asus S550C laptop
Windows 10

Okay, so I'm away from home and checked into a hotel for 3 weeks. My laptop was connected to the Wi-Fi the first night with no problem, and now, it won't find any connections. My phone and PlayStation are currently connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi so their internet isn't the issue. When I click on my Wi-Fi icon in the toolbar, it says "No connections available" but I know there are, as my cellphone finds several. I've tried going into device manager and uninstalling my Wi-Fi and re-installing it. Didn't work. I did a system restore to a couple days ago and that worked for awhile, but now I'm back to the same problem. Does anyone know anything else I could try? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

*edit*

I managed to get the Wi-Fi to work by moving the laptop to certain positions around the room, and I might be crazy, but if I keep the screen tilted down a bit I feel like it works and finds Wi-Fi networks a little more reliably, but that might just be my imagination, so take that with a grain of salt. Again, I'm not convinced this is a problem with the hotels Wi-Fi, as my other devices connect fine no matter their location in my room/hotel. Still looking for a solution to this problem :)

Solution
The wif antenna is located in the lid on many laptops so this may explain what you are experiencing.

It sounds like the internal is not connecting well. Make sure the wireless is turned on.

A USB wireless adapter might help to circumvent the issue.

I would try to uninstall, and reinstall the driver, but in some cases certain adapters don't connect well to certain routers, and it can be pretty impossible to fix.

Once when I was at a hotel, I had to keep calling the front desk for them to reboot their modem, so try that as well.
