Noticeable high-pitch whine noise from the system (hard to pin point)

My system is old enough that I don't think it's some issues that has always been with me, yet it should be good enough that aging should not yet be a factor. It isn't very loud, but due to its extreme high pitch as long as it's noticeable it's annoying enough. Recently I have been updating my system a little bit, and is any of these possible as a cause for this, and / or is this possible symptom for some underlying problems (especially the PSU)?

My System:
CPU i7-3930k
CPU Cooler Corsair H70 Liquid Cooling
MOBO Asus Rampage Formula IV (pretty old)
RAM Cosair Vengence 2400Mhz 4x8GB -> recently upgraded
GPU MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr
PSU Corsair HX 850

Storage: (recently expanded)
SSD x 4
HDD x 2
CD-ROM x 1

Also buncha fans.

Notable changes to BIOS / system:
XMP profile for 2400Mhz RAM
RAMdisk system using SoftPerfect
Installed an extra SSD and HDD

Is my PSU being stressed? Dying?

My GPU used to have a bit of coil whine, but it would be directly affected by overclocking, which my current system doesn't seem to behave (doesn't rule it out completely since I have a very difficult time pin pointing the source of the noise - but all I can say is it didn't behave like this ever before). It has also been a non-issue for a long time (over half a year).

Stress testing my GPU seemed fine in terms of power draw and performance.

Could it be my MOBO?

I probably should have try and test my components individually before asking such question, but I don't have spares around that I can test without the PSU or MOBO, so I don't know if the testings would be useful. I have indeed checked other components where possible: speakers, monitors, I've excluded all exterior factor and positive that the whine comes from within the system (it goes away as soon as system shuts down, and starts a bit after turning on).

It is also persistent, unlike some other posts I have seen that correlates to running specific programs or whatnot. If anything it goes up and down a bit probably due to my hearing. It is so high pitched I have a difficulty in hearing it so hard to say for certain. Yet it does kind of hurt my ears.

Another thing to note is that recently one of my SSD is starting to fail (multiple performance test unable to run, on what could be run, degraded performance, lost files that had to be recovered. Also the extra HDD I've installed is rather old. However I've never heard any cases of HDD / SSD having high pitched noise. Is that even a possibility worth my time to try to test without?

My system is still performing well in every regard I can see, and I understand some whining could be completely normal (and it's the kind that I feel not everybody can hear, but I do, I always do); what raises concern is that it only recently started to get notieceably annoying.

I know this is probably a vague and hard to answer question, but any tip in what order I should be looking into things, and how likely it is due to my PSU is messing up would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Excluding fans - whine noise can be monitor, GPU, PSU or mobo.
Eliminate by process. The hardest is the PSU or mobo. If its mobo & not its under warranty theres nothing you can do but live with it an eventually upgrade

I havent heard of SSD noise before but if youre having problems it would be hard to test.

Good luck, whine is pain in the ass.
