I've recently built a computer with the above case and a MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard, but the front panel audio and microphone jacks will not detect when I plug in my headphones or mic. My computer shows them there as an option, even labels them as "Front Panel" but will not let me set sound to the headphones since it thinks nothing is plugged into the front jacks. Same deal with the mic. My headset and mic work fine in my back audio jacks that go straight to the mobo. I've double check my connections and popped the top off and everything is plugged into to the chip that sits behind the front panel. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be appreciated. Is there something else I should consider? Or is it a faulty set of audio jacks?

Solution
Sounds like a faulty set of audio jacks, or you might have somehow made a mistake in connecting them up. Only a competent 3rd party would be able to inspect the situation and come to a conclusion. For your part, you may want to contact the customer support of both the motherboard and the case to see if either of them can help you. After that, see if you can find a local tech - even that may be cheaper and less hassle than to RMA the case.
