Hi I am currently entertaining myself with finding extremely cheap parts to build a computer for around max 100€. I recently sold my LGA775 system (which was good enough to play Battlefront with a 750Ti) and now I have a 1151 system so this is mostly for fun.

I found a guy selling a Dell 1155 motherboard for 35€ with these specs: http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/dell-mih61r-mb-specs-38317201214/

My main question is would that work with non-proprietary parts? I'm considering either this or a Gigabyte 775 motherboard (which has cheaper cpus).

If you have a large case, size and form is not a problem. I have used humongous and oddly shaped HP/Compaq micro-ATX boards in a regular Micro ATX case before. The specs listed on that link clearly says Micro ATX so unless you have a Mini ITX case I see no problem. The board also looks pretty average to me.

As for parts compatibility, they should all work.

If you are going for the LGA1151 why not get non OEM motherboards? You might even get better specs and they look better too at least in my opinion.

In theory it would work. However, Dells computer parts are often tweaked especially to their cabinets. Meaning they have odd sized components like non-standard sized PSU etc. That means that some components, may not fit cabinets the usual way. I´ve seen very odd sized cpu coolers from Dell as well,
