I Have a problem I have just built a new PC based on a Gigabyte GA-Z97X Game plus motherboard. I have tried to install 4x8gb Hyper Fury X DDR3 memory but machine will only boot up with memory in the first 2 slots.
Tried all the memory in the first 2 and they all work but put a 3rd in and PC starts up then shuts down 10 seconds later. Its driving me mad as I cant seem to find an answer to the problem anywhere. I will be very grateful for any help with the problem. Thanks in advance

Try putting a pair of the RAM that you know to work in the other 2 slots.
If this doesn't work then you have a motherboard problem.
If the RAM works, then it could be that your 4 RAM sticks are not matched even though they may be from the same
Manufacturer and share the same part number. I have experienced this problem in the past.
Only RAM sold as matched should be fitted in all slots.
