Hi guys,

I normally do not post on forums as i am able to find pretty much all answers i need through google and such ... but i am facing something i've never seens.

I ordered a gigabyte motherboard with an am3+ socket and put in an Amd fx-4350 125w cpu.
there is no gfx card, only 2x4gb ddr3 memory module and an ssd.

Now, i'm facing an high pitch noise coming from the cpu region.
i was able to isolate the noise to the actual fourth pin of the sys_fan connector on the board. If i plug the cpu fan in the sys_fan connector .. there's no sound(its quiet).

I've tried plugging it in the cpu_fan socket with only 3 wires and theres no sound either. (On most site they list that the wire are in order: negative, positive, TACHO, pnvm)

Should i RMA the board?

(Changing the fan did not help as i've tried with another stock amd cooling unit and the results were the same)

Please excuse my spelling and thanks in advance for your help
