Make sure both sticks are firmly seated. What's the actual model # of the DRAM? Many buy a set of two sticks marked 8GB and think each stick is 8GB when it's a 2x4GB set. Also what OS? Some 64bit OSes are limited to 8GB total.

That's a model number for the regular Vengeance (black) yet you said blue? Look in CPU-Z and see what it shows in the SPD tab next to part #
