Hello. I had a good friend that has pass away recently after his home caught fire. He was a true hacker, and after college we went our separate ways but always keeping in contact every few months or so, I enjoyed the networking and IT field while he was into the software and hacking field. He switched from dsl to cable internet and turned his westell 6100 dsl modem into a basic HTML personal web server with ftp access I believe removing the modem, firewall, router, and dhcp server part. He had his personal website running on it for years which was destroyed in the fire. Always tinkering with things like that. I remember him soldering a rs232 jack cable inside the modem but don't know how he done it, and would love help setting one back up for him in remembrance if anyone could help me, it would mean the world. His setup was (internet)->Cable Modem->Router->Hacked DSL Modem web server
