Hey guys, I bought Dell Latitude E6410 (used) the other day and it came with no OS.

I have a bootable USB with Windows 7 installation and I can boot the Win7 installation without problems (legacy), but when it comes to installation, it asks "where do I want to install windows 7" and there are no options...

BIOS can see my hdd, I don't know exactly the model, but it's a 250GB HDD.
I tried using RAID on, AHCI, ATA and none of them worked...

I even tried to download the original driver for HDD from the Dell website and load it during the win 7 installation and still can't see the HDD, when I try to install..

I'm quite desperate at the moment.. Thank you for all suggestions

Solution
Ok, at the first screen of the install, SHIFT + F10 to enter command prompt.

Then, enter each of these instructions (the bits before the brackets - I'm just describing what it's doing), hitting enter after each command.

diskpart
list disk (usually the only drive installed will show as disk 0, but it depends which port it's attached to)
select disk 0 (or whichever number it appears as during 'list disk')
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format fs=ntfs quick
exit

At that point, you should be returned to the installation first page....and hopefully you'll be able to move ahead from there.
