Asus Z170-P D3 DDR4?

So I bought this motherboard yesterday and didn't see that it says DDR3-DDR3L in the amazon website. Does this mean that I won't be able to use my i5-6600 and my 8GB DDR4 2400 mhz ram??

ddr3 and ddr4 are different, if the motherboard only support ddr3, it only support ddr3

I don't think you can. You should have gone for the Asus Z170-P motherboard.

Correct. If this is your motherboard, then it only supports DDR3 RAM. Your DDR4 RAM is not compatible.
