Hey guys just picked up a corsair h55 cooling (liquid) kit for my pc. I currently have am3+ mobo with fx 6300 with stock cooler. Do I need to remove whatever thermal paste is on the cpu with isopropyl alcohol or can I just put liquid cooler on straight away?

No , you have to remove the old thermal.
If you don't remove the old paste it will not cool effectively.
