input not supported - JC2

trying to play some Just cause 2, I was messing around with mods, changed the resolution to 1080p and the game froze, I have a 1080p monitor and have always played it on 1080p with no issues but now when I start the game I just get 'Input not supported' with the game volume playing in the background. I have tried editing steam launch parameters but it has not worked, any suggestions on how to fix?

You might be able to cheese your way out of it by going into windowed mode (alt + enter), but short of that, delete your settings. This is located at C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Square Enix\Just Cause 2\Saves\JC2Settings. Launch your game and set an appropriate resolution from there.
