Just got all of my pc parts yesterday. Been slowly assembling it as I please.
CPU heatsink is the Noctua NH D-15. Not sure if it really matters but would it be better to have the exhaust going out the top or the back?

Solution
If you have a case fan blowing out of the top of your case then I would orient the CPU cooler to blow towards that fan. Hot air rises and you'd be pushing hot air towards a fan that is removing it.

If you don't have a fan at the top of your case then aim it towards the back with a fan blowing out of the case.

Can't go wrong either way.

Typically you should pull air into the case from the front and bottom, and blow out the top and back.
