WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY PC? i have a really good graphics card i know that for a fact but when for example i load up gta 5 i get about 60-40 fps when driving around in the city and the gpu usage stays at like 50-65% please help me i hate this i get very bad fps on far cry 4 around 50-40 im only 14 and my dad thinks i made a bad choice bcuz i made him buy that card for me and now i still get bad fps please please please please please help me please i beg you please

To get better speeds you'd have to overclock your CPU or get an fast Intel i5 or i7. The 970 is a good card, it's just a bit held back by the CPU, that would depend on the game though, some want a faster CPU than...

What resolution are you playing? What level of detail? Do you have the latest drivers? Are you running your card in the right slot x16? These are all important details to know. To be honest your not far off from where you should be. For example look at the below benchmarks. They are very GPU/CPU intensive games. Also i have heard these games are not optimized very well so it could definitely be the game optimization rather then your card. The 970 is a nice card. Keep in mind the benchmark was likely done on a different computer then yours.

That is not very bad performance. It may be less than what you though you'd get, but that does not make it bad. 40 fps is pretty smooth.
