Hi everyone!

I hope you guys are able to help me, this is really getting up to my nerves, my computer freezes randomly whenever I am gaming (In a range from 10 minutes to 2 hours) The only way to turn it down is using the reset/power button, I tried everything to locate which of my components is the faulty one.

Going to make a quick list about what I tried:

- Formatted my hard drive several times.
- I've used memtest on both of my memories (24 hours each one, no issues).
- Used HeavyLoad (Software to make a CPU use 100% of its capacity) several times for 10-15 mins per test, no issues.
- Used Heaven Benchmark 4.0
- Upgraded my BIOS
- Used borrowed memories

I am pretty sure that my computer is not overheating because I have a dedicated fan to very component and I always check is there is any abnormal temperature.

Now, the weird part is that when I remove my graphic card (GTX 760) and put my old card in the same PCI-E Slot (GTX 440) I can play normally and the PC doesn't freeze.

My components are:

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair Formula - Z
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb (DDR3) x2
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 4GB
CPU: AMD FX-9590
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 800W

Any suggestion?

(Sorry for my bad english I am from latin america).

It's not advised to drop in a card onto a similar PCI-E slot and not remove your previous drivers. Speaking of removing, have you tried uninstalling using display driver uninstaller then reinstalling your GPU drivers using the latest from Nvidia? If the latest have been applied yet promote the freeze then revert to a previous known stable driver. Have you installed the latest chipset drivers off AMD's site? You can try bread boarding your system with one stick of ram, motherboard, PSU, GPU and only OS drive.

See if you can get...

See if you can get a similar wattage yet reliable unit from a friend and try to power up your system. Seeing that you have a TR2 unit in your system I'd say it would be the culprit but see if your friends unit pulls through.
