Hi, I have been dealing with this problem all day. I have recently built a new computer with this MOBO and have been trying to use my beats headphones as just a mic, not headphones. It recognizes them and when I do a test skype call, I can barely hear myself even with +30 dB. It's also has had static/fuzzy noises but that hasn't happened for a while. I have tried
-uninstalling Realtek HD Audio manager and then testing mic (didn't work)
-updating every possible driver (didn't work)
-tried another microphone (didn't work)
-tested current mic on another computer and had it work on that computer
-uninstalling Sound Blaster Cinema 2 (didn't work)

Please give any suggestions on how to fix this.

Solution

If Your running windows try plugging in your mic, right clicking the volume/speaker icon on the bottom right and select Recording devices
in the new window, select the microphone you are trying to use and either press properties in that window or right click it and press properties.
from there go to the levels tab and adjust the microphone volume(if not already all the way up by default) and the microphone boost - Adjust these accordingly.

Try using the audio drivers that came on the cd instead of the ones Windows installs or on the msi website
