Im looking at upgrading my pc but dont know if i should wait for the new pascal cards

Im looking at upgrading my gpu and cpu. the problem i have is i dont know which i should upgrade first and with nvidia pascal apparently coming out Q1 2016 i feel i should wait on the card, my current build (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/slpater/saved/bLwWGX) is fine for now but i would still like to upgrade none the less. this is what i plan on upgrading to (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ntYLLk) my question is should i go ahead and upgrade the cpu and motherboard and would it help gaming performance now or just be bottlenecked by my current gpu. I'm really set on waiting until the new card generation comes out from what ive read into them. so should i wait and buy the gpu or spend the money now and upgrade the cpu and mobo then save for the gpu.

What res are you running?

IMO I think (and hope) Pascal cards will be moving towards 4k performance, if you are running 1080p res then I would not wait, either stick with what you have or get a 970/980 , they will last a good while at 1080.

If you're aiming for 4k, then I would wait as no card out now really does it that well with AAA games.

Agree with above poster though, if you really have the upgrade itch, go with a Skylake build or 4790K.

1. Shortly after pascal comes out, there will be more hype about the next architecture - it is a never ending game.
2. i do not see any trouble with your current build other than your PSU
3. if you still feel "the necessity of the change" - i'll say why not go for 'Skylake' while you are at it.

i picked a psu that had close to 200 watts over the recommended. and what i have is good for most games but im planning and doing both, and yes i understand theres the rat race of new tech. im specifically talking about this current next generation which ive seen is rumored to come out in q1 or 2 which isnt far off or go ahead and upgrade now
