In Canadian prices only, is there a better choice around this budget of $100-150 CAD?

1st sandisk ,will be the best choice, they are top of the line and usually leading the pack when it comes to static drives and devices.
2nd kingston, good at RAM, and prolly ssd, also makes GOOD hdds but sandisk is better if i had the choice.
3rd adata i also believe they make excellent server hardware, but i do not believe that this ssd is that grade of hardware.
4th silicone power, from my perspective a rather cheap, sorta of off brandish hardware maker, i would not trust it with my data.

I'm honestly not sure if the performance difference is worth the extra $40 out of your pocket. Honestly it's the only SATA SSD that I buy. It's my go-to SATA SSD. I've since upgrade to NVMe SSD's, but I just like the Samsung 850 EVO. I personally believe it to be the standard in the field. It's reliable, and I'm probably less price conscious than the average consumer. I don't know if you'd notice the speed difference between this drive and the next fastest. But for me, I just want the fastest (as long as it's reliable) period.

I usually recommend Samsung but I also mention that SanDisk is also worth considering.

I maintain an ssd database that is listed in a sticky at the very top of this forum section. Here is the link:

Scroll down to the SATA 3 6Gb/s section where you will find all 3 models you are interested in and many other models. Follow the links to the technical reviews. The reviews are divided into English language reviews and reviews in many other languages.

To be honest there are many good SATA 3 6Gb/s ssd's. The standard 2.5 inch SATA 3 ssd's have been available for several years and many of them are capable of reaching maximum possible SATA 3 performance. Samsung leads the group and is the number one selling brand. According to Newegg the Kingston ssd's are their number 2 best sellers. That's because of the low entry level price of their value oriented 300 series of ssd's. Kingston is quite popular with consumers on a tight budget.
