Relatively New to tom's hardware don't bash me if i'm at the wrong place but hoping someone could help..

I've had different service providers one was Comcast (X-finity) Anyways, I switched to U-verse at some point now i'm returning back to xfinity because horrible service with them.

Now just today received the Kit with the Modem to set it up. Didn't have a technician come because there booked as hell, decided Hey its easy might as-well do it myself.. Well It was.. up until i found out U-verse i guess you can say cut the coax connection from all the outputs to xfinity so when the modem finally was setup it can't get Service from the Coax the lights just Blink..

The only solution iv Find out how to recover the line from the box outside of my house or wait all the way until next Thursday iv already waited into a month to get my wifi back! after voiding u-verse and searching for a new provider... Why wait for a Tech if theirs a way i could do this myself? I'm sure its possible.. It would be very helpful if someone can help. Any Questions Or Details on this let me know thank-you!.

Solution
That means the cable coming into your house is the issue. You might be able to physically trace it out to figure out where the problem is.

After connecting to the coax cable, you'll need to contact Comcast (Xfinity) to activate your service. Calling them, they can also tell if there is a problem with your cable connection.

Have you contacted Comcast via their phone number to activate/check your service?
